St. Nicholas N.S. is under the Church of Ireland patronage and is welcoming of children of all faiths & none. Located in the heart of Dundalk town, our vibrant & inclusive school has grown over the years.

Education on our current site began in 1960, after the closure of our former schools which were based in the Wellington Hall, St Mary's Road.

To date, the 1960's original two teacher school has seen two transformations, the latest of which is due to open in September 2022 to accommodate our mainstream classes together with our classes for children with Autism (The Haven).

The Haven is a purpose build facility which opened in September 2017, comprising of 2 classes for children with Autism. Each class of 6 children has 1 teacher and 2 SNAs. Enrolment criteria for the Haven can be obtained from the Principal on request.

Our current chairperson of the Board of Management is the Rev. Geoffrey Walmsley.
