This year has been another busy year for 4th Class and their involvement in the Shared Education Programme. They have enjoyed many activities with pupils from our partnership schools; Killowen PS, Rostrevor and Grange PS, Kilkeel.

Our theme for the partnership this year was ‘Ancient Civilisations’.

We met with the pupils from Killowen and Grange and built shelters using natural materials found in a forest in Kilbroney! We made models of ancient civilisations with two fantastic artists during a visit to Grange PS. We enjoyed a day visiting Killowen PS and spending time getting to know the pupils from the two schools. We were particularly excited when the Amma Centre delivered a Minecraft Coding Workshop. During this workshop we were set the challenge of creating our own settlements. Finally, we were delighted when our partnership schools arrived in Dundalk. We visited the cinema to see the film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish! and ended the day with lunch at St Nicholas’.

Thank you to Grange PS and Killowen PS for their friendship during the partnership!
