Creating Calm Confident Kids
Over the last 4 weeks your child has gained a knowledge of how his/her emotional brain works, how their body feels and reacts to different emotions and how to calm everything down using different techniques. They have practiced things like stretching exercises, breathing and massage techniques, affirmations and some relaxation skills. As your child's brain is still developing they need to learn how to manage their emotions just the same as they need to learn maths or any other subject.
The attached file is an explanation of the brain which the children have been discussing with Andrea over the past few weeks and also a fight/flight/freeze body checklist.
